Welcome to Dirt Road Style!
Hello! I’m Cassandra and this is my little corner of the web. I promise to use it for good. I will uplift, educate, empathize, and maybe even entertain. I love seeing the world through other’s eyes, and this is my opportunity to show you mine. I live on, you guessed it, a dirt road in northern Minnesota. It’s covered in snow half of the year, but somehow we all survive. We’re fortunate to have all four seasons, and we find the joy and beauty in each of them. Living outside of city limits has its pros and cons but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. We hunt in our backyard, ride ATVs and snowmobiles without bothering our neighbors, and cook dinner over a campfire whenever we’d like. My gardens flourish thanks to manure from family horses. I may have to travel further each day to get where I need to be, but it’s a lovely drive either way.
I have three cats, two darling little girls and my handsome significant other, all who have yet to give me gray hair. We are lovers of the outdoors. We watch Disney movies on repeat. We read a lot of books. We are passionate rock lickers (Learn more about that here). My work history includes the food industry and accounting. As a former U.S. Marine and corporate bookkeeper, I felt as though becoming boutique owner was a natural transition. Oh, it’s not? Well when I realized I wanted to be my own boss and raise my own children, the choice was simple. I am now a small business owner. Like other ladies, I’ve dabbled in the world of direct sales, mainly for my own discounts and gift-giving needs. None of those adventures would ever allow me to work for myself, until I entered the exciting and fulfilling world of LuLaRoe. (Learn more here)
What is Dirt Road Style? It’s how we choose to live our lives here. It’s all about loving yourself, nature, and family. It’s expression through clothing, art, and music. It’s valuing experiences over possessions. Get dirty, get outside, and get in touch with your inner beauty.
We’re all in this journey of life together, and my mission is to make the best of it. Won’t you join me?
XOXO
